Welcome back, summoners! The upcoming Summoner Wars Starter Set once again comes packed with two classic factions: Phoenix Elves vs Tundra Orcs! We’ll be taking a look at the former in this preview. Please welcome back Queen Maldaria!

The summoner of the Phoenix Elves plays an interesting role, balancing between her strong ranged attack and her defensive ability. Maldaria has to engage in battle to be able to call protection to her side. Players that enjoy fighting in the midground and gaining superior positioning will enjoy playing Maldaria!

But what is a Phoenix Elf queen without her loyal guards? The Royal Guardian is a robust unit fit for this role. Engage and Shove work in perfect tandem to help dish out some guaranteed damage, as well as push away any encroaching foes. And with their high life value, they are a great candidate for Maldaria’s Call Protection ability.
