Faction Background
The Skyspear Avians occupy most of the Mountains of Velles, where they build elaborate spires that stretch towards the clouds. They are an aloof people, historically uninterested in the other peoples of Itharia. The discovery of a summoning stone has changed all that, though none of the other Itharian factions can understand why.This is largely to do with Avian speech being an incomprehensible mystery to the other sentient peoples of the world, and only few Avians are capable of mimicking the common tongue. This emphasizes the generally held belief the birdfolk possess alien minds incapable of diplomacy. This notion is greatly false, but the Skyspear Avians either see no need or have no care to challenge that idea.
