Unit Background
Seulndar is one of the few summoners to be given a summoning stone by his people, rather than finding one or taking one by force. He does rule or lead the Shadow Elves, rather he leads those forces selected to take part in the Summoner Wars. Much of the faith placed in this Elf is due to his fervent belief in the Shaping of the Way, the pragmatic philosophy embraced by Shadow Elf society.
Selundar frequently visits other factions and offers aid and guidance. Not everyone trusts his counsel, but few can deny the accuracy of the intelligence he shares. The wise suspect Selundar manipulates others by revealing truths, albeit only the truths the Elf summoner wants others to see, and this assessment is likely quite accurate.
Card Strategy
While Selundar is ultimately a support summoner and the deck relies on his ability a lot, the high 5 strength is crucial for the deck’s success. Be it on defense, offense, poking or assassination plans, both Return to Shadow and the impressive 5 strength are key for winning as Shadow Elves.
Despite this, Selundar has only 11 life and opponents will target him if possible because he is so essential to Shadow Elves success. You can still use Selundar aggressively thanks to True Seekers ability to protect him after he attacks and Glinting Speed which allows him to get in and out of situations.
