Unit Background

The Savannah Elves have turned the local rhinoceroses into well-trained tanks of muscle and armor. Woe unto the enemy who mistakes a rhinoceros’ bulk for slowness! These animals are naturally capable of great bursts of speed, but when enchanted with elven magic, they are as fast as any horse, with enough bulk to down and crush any who stand in their way.

Card Strategy

Rhinoceros is  very versatile unit that should be part of every plan, having four key roles in the deck:

- Positional Stealer
Thanks to it's ability to trample and it's speed when boosted, Rhinoceros can take spots that no other unit can, it's ability to steal summoning spots is very powerful.

A very good trick is to use trample to move behind and enemy common, then use Abua to attack that common. Now abua will be protected by the new position of the rhinos allowing you to use the powerfull attack of Abua safely.

- Initiate offensives
Rhinoceros can easily go to the offensive when boosted thanks to their high speed. Once they get there because their high health they may survive allowing Savanna Elves with a threatening Chant of Weaving.

- Assassination
While 2 strength is not very threatening, its speed and Trample allows it to reach the enemy summoner or get behind enemy champions, and with the help of Chant of Power or Swift Shot, it can do considerable damage.

- Anti-common
When properly boosted a Rhino can just Trample several commons and then have enough movement to still be in a good position to do the same thing next turn. Doing 2 or 3 damage to commons using just movement, not an attack, and ending in a place where it is hard to be counterattacked is very powerful. This is not always easy to do because smart opponents will play around it, but often the threat alone is strong enough.
