Card Abilties

Blood Bloom
After each time a friendly unit within 2 spaces of this unit is destroyed, boost all friendly units that were within 2 spaces of this unit.

Unit Background

The husk called Kuldak is unique among the Fungal Dwarves in that the fungus deliberately keeps it at the second stage of blooming, no doubt to give outsiders an appearance they can relate to, even if still strange to behold. Previously the Fungal Dwarves were content to fester in their mountain hideaway, but now, after finding a summoning stone in the deeps of their home, they now see the means to grow and spread in ways that were previously impossible.
Kuldak leads its people to war against any who will rise to the challenge, for any conflict is a chance to spread bloom, and take root all across the globe. Many of the other factions have taken to burning battlefields and the dead after facing the Fungal Dwarves in combat, for it is the only tool they have to combat the spread of fungal consumption.

Card Strategy

Kuldak has great stats, however he’s ultimately a support summoner. As mentioned, Blood Bloom is arguably the strongest ability the game has so far presented for a summoner.
A fungal colony needs to be formed around Kuldak, both to protect him as the king piece and to be able to trigger Blood Bloom.
The placement of Kuldak is crucial and will determine the flow of the game, knowing where to place Kuldak is without a doubt the hardest skill a Fungal Dwarf player needs to master to play effectively. “Where should I move Kuldak (or not at all)?” is the most important question a Fungal Dwarf player needs to answer every turn.
